Chefs’ Stage, note
In 2019, the mood of spring arrived a few days earlier. From March 17 to 19, we had the great pleasure and honour of having our boat, “Grandpa Frane” chartered for some of the most important gastronomic congress's events in the country, the Chefs' Stage.
This congress organised the visionary Rudolf Štefan, the first man of the prestigious Šibenik restaurant Pelegrini, located near St James' Cathedral.
People who appreciate, know and support Rudolf Štefan affectionately call him Rudi, and they feel his mission is a cathedral of ideas. Around this idea, gather professionals who passionately live in a world of hospitality and tourism.
Rudi is a man who makes Šibenik a big, exciting gastronomic stage once a year, where renowned world names appear who have something to say and show about the topic.
So Grandpa Frane drove a wonderfully enjoyable Press trip, an introductory day to the congress intended for the participant to meet and socialise.
Designing it, Rudi strategically combined a tour of selected attractions of the Šibenik archipelago with tasting stations for that day, where his partners, chefs and winemakers showed the guests excellent hospitality through the tastes.
For the Press trip, that day, our Grandpa Frane appeared in a special festive attire - equipped with an exhibition in the form of scenography on the theme of sustainability through artistic objects inspired by territory and nature.
After the introductory day, Grandpa Frane spent two days at the Masterclasses with two, significantly marine, Croatian chefs, Fisherman Son, David Skoko and Kurnator, the first man of the Kornati abbot Ante Božikov.
This experience inspired us and remained in our memory as beautiful gratitude for an exceptional experience.
